BROWZINE FAQ

What is BrowZine?

It’s an app for your mobile device, designed to let you access journals that the library subscribe to. As well as bookmark interesting articles and journals.

There is also a desktop version of BrowZine. Skip to desktop section of this FAQ for instructions on how to access it.

BrowZine also allows you to keep your preferred journals on an electronic “bookshelf” to make returning to them easier. Just select the journals as you browse.

BrowZine can be used over any connection that your tablet can use, whether that is Wi-Fi at work or at home. Or if your device has a 3G/4G connection, that will also work.

What BrowZine isn't.

BrowZine is not a replacement for dedicated search tools such as Medline. It is better suited to browsing the journals you are already familiar with and visit often.

NOTE:If you are not prompted to set up a library and barcode, please go to the "settings" and select "Change Library". If you belong to two institutions this also allows you to move back and forth between your institutions, by going in and changing the institution.

On the “My Bookshelf” tab, this is where you can keep a list of your preferred journals. The first time you go there you will be prompted to log into, or create a BrowZine account. This is very useful as it will allow you to Sync your favourite journals across all of your devices with BrowZine on it.
